Maybe have a stationary wiper straight up the center and a circular windshield that rotates super fast. Mercedes, the best or nothing.

Doesn’t look that “highly” engineered.. just a piston or something to push out when it his a certain point on the cam.. but I’m guessing stuff gets lodged in it and gums it up pretty easily

My Dad's '99 C-280 has that. Even with a new spring and blade it can't keep up as well as a standard two blade system. Look great tho'
