Before the pandemic, they were open 24 hours. We'd go grocery shopping at like 3 am to avoid people. It was so nice.

Just so all the Americans in the comments know, BB guns are illegal in Australia. It’s also illegal to sell toy guns or anything that resembles a gun. It’s very difficult to find toy guns for costume parties, but it’s a good thing.

A good rule of thumb is that I'd it's in a big container like the tea, goldfish, etc., it's meant to last a WHILE, or for a larger family. 😋

the reason why items are bigger is because american culture around food is big. leftovers are a huge thing, people will often make really big meals that they can eat across several days. buying is bulk is also very common to limit trips to stores bc some people live 20-30 mins from the nearest store, so they will often buy enough to last 1-2 weeks, sometimes even a month. family sizes tend to be bigger here too, so more food for more people. but its so cool seeing you so excited looking at everything and being genuinely curious instead of rude <3 it's a nice change
