and as a fearful avoidant i’m not a texter because i’m scared to become too attached/expectant of their communication 😀 if it suddenly stops it’ll dysregulate me so i maintain the distance as a wall to protect myself from what my brain perceives as inevitable disappointment

as a fearful avoidant, I am just trying to exist and heal from my trauma, that has nothing to do with the other person. And I like to take things slow so we don’t become too attached too fast without building safety and trust. Like I must be able to trust that you will respect my boundaries. I am not doing it as a test or because of some tabu and being scared of love. I am legit scared of so many things lol. Please y’all be kin to others, don’t assume because people harm u they are intentionally trying to harm you & yes boundaries keep safe, if you wish to leave that is okay but please don’t make the other person fully responsible for your happiness or unhappiness.

I'm an avoidant and it doesn't matter how much I tell someone that they still think they are the one to fix me, I had three years off trying to do that myself and they still don't respect it when I say I need to self-regulate, I don't know any other situation where it's ok just to dismiss an actual trauma response.

The texting thing though. I like texting, sure. But if my workdays are 7-12 hours long and I try to keep in contact with friends and then a romantic interest.. I don't have time for marathon texting to anyone 😅

I actually feel like it’s so invasive for someone to have access to me like that 24/7, like I’m not on call for u 😭 got me feeling resentful bc people think it’s rude to not text back right away. Also if we get too close my boundaries dissolve and I get dependent and it’s hard for me to say no anymore🥰🥰🥰🥰🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
