@emmyxtech: Astranis builds compact, low-cost geostationary satellites that beam internet to underserved regions. Each one weighs roughly 400kg, a fraction of the multi-ton mass of traditional GEO satellites, yet delivers dedicated bandwidth to a single country or coverage area. By going small and flying high, they fill the gaps satellite mega-constellations leave behind. #Tech #technology #satellites #informational
So what about the ASTS model? They supposedly deliver broadband service to your phone ( not modem) from orbit. This is very very interesting. How do they make their satellites more quickly and cheaper? . Thanks

SpaceX has more than 10,000 satellites in orbit. They cover the whole planet. I’m not aware of any significant gaps in their coverage.
