As-Samad — The Self-Sufficient: everything depends upon Him, while He depends upon nothing. Al-Ahad — The One: the one and unique God. The Qur’an repeatedly tells us to look at creation, reflect and reason. The deeper we ask, “What must the cause of the universe be like?” the more striking the comparison becomes.
