I work for hotels. I’m sure it wasn’t Expedia. The hotels usually pick the Expedia bookings to cancel and then blame them. Just saying.

As much as this sucks. Never. Ever. EVER. Book third party. You have no guarantee unfortunately and the property can fuck you regardless of what Expedia said they could do at any point. Ever. Third party interfaces are the worst while promising amazing deals and services.

As someone who's worked for a hotel chain (that starts with an h) in the past, front desk. I can easily tell you that 3rd party booking is usually the worst choice. a lot of them will actually price jack and a lot of them don't refund. Expedia is by far the worse, and their workers will try to get the hotel to send Expedia money so that they can keep yours. They're actually the worst. definitely talk with the staff at a hotel if you can, a lot of staff are encouraged to sign people up for loyalty programs that can get you a lower rate. and when the hotel gets overbooked, sometimes we have to contact those third parties. and then the third parties are usually slimy, but not everyone.

I asked my hubby in bed one evening. We got married twenty years later. It’s so nice not to want anything but love. We got married on Indian Beach in OR, with my sister and niece as witnesses. Calm, quiet, breathtakingly beautiful. Spent $500 for the wedding officiant and $350 on dinner that evening. 30 years later, here we are. Love is all you need. 😘

They’re the WORST company I’ve ever dealt with…they owe me $100 from 2023 and I’m still mad as fuck over it 😂 … file a complaint with FCC and they’ll probably help-I did that with AT&T the other day and it worked!

Definitely not victim blaming for commenting for visibility. I work in hospitality and ALWAYS book direct with the hotel. When there are issues, the hotel will almost always make it right. The OTAs (online travel agencies) do not care.
