They don’t even care about the World Cup. I get what you mean about loving and hating this country but I think about the team and it makes me sad to not root for them after they’ve worked so hard because of the Right. Our guys need love too

I’m mexican, parents came here illegally, now legal, I don’t like maga, don’t like our government, proud Mexican, and still proud to be in the country my parents fought so hard for. I think we can expect more and still be proud at the same time. To me it would be a slap in the face to say I hate this country, because I would have NEVER had this life in Mexico. Proud of my parents for bringing me here, I’m proud to be here and hope for even better. I’ve also played soccer for 20 years now. I’ve represented the United States in other countries. The point of the World Cup is for the world to come together and enjoy the sport no matter anything else going on. I’ll be going for both and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, at least coming from a soccer fanatic 🇲🇽🇺🇸 and I cheer on all other teams too regardless of their background. Many other countries don’t treat their people well, but they’re just people who grew up with a ball at their feet and their dreams are coming true and they’re not responsible for their government.
