She’s now on the Urgent List for Thursday 6/18 🆘 Sandy ID #A179196, Female, 6Y, 44lbs, HW+ 6/18 Stray | Female | 6Y | 44lbs | HW+ We knew we had to meet Sandy when her photo online was her showing her belly! She’s definitely shy in person but opens up a ton with a little baby talk. She is very quiet and calm in her kennel, even though all of her neighbors were super stressed today and loud. She did her business outside and walked well on the leash greeting a neighbor through the fence along the way, although on her dog tests she does prefer slower intros! Inside she was flinchy every time I raised my hand, like she was definitely used to being hit ☹️ She’s a HUGE treat lover and wore my butterfly wings zero issue; I thought she’d be scared of them! We hung out some more in the room and she let her guard down and showed me her belly and even got mini zoomies!!! After that she just laid down and closed her eyes, very content with my company. Back in her kennel I gave her a tennis ball, and when I was walking another dog I saw her playing with it all by herself 😭 She’s really sweet, doesn’t seem high energy and would likely be a good foster guest. Shelter Notes: Sweet Sandy is absolutely precious! She is calm and friendly inside and outside of her kennel. Sandy was found at Strawberry Park and is microchipped, but the number wasn't working. We also tried to send an email with no response. Her former owner's loss will be someone else's gain as this girl is amazing! She is starting to show signs of kennel stress, so she could really use a hero right now. *Pledges and donations toward rescue are appreciated!Please message me if you can foster!
