Once he crossed over into the confines of the base he is subject to all of the bases laws and jurisdiction. This applies to a welcome center or an entrance gate. To add to the gentleman's dilemma, as he crossed into the base there is a wide blue panted line that states if I'm correct (I live in san antonio as a retired service member) that he was has now entered FEDERAL property, so nolonger on public property!!

If you went through the gates, then you must’ve seen all the signs that said By entering the installation, you legally consent to the search of your vehicle, person, and belongings, and waive certain privacy expectations. Also, Photography or video recording of security forces, entry points, or "prohibited areas" (such as flight lines and sensitive facilities) is strictly regulated.

But you cant go in base recording any planes or anything cause MP or SO will stop u and u will be escorted out. now if u retired military and have Military id its still different. but either way you cant be on base recording

ive worked on all the bases here an they are pretty strict about pictures and video for a reason you need specific permission to do so
