No. As someone with a degree in CJ, worked in law firms, and police depts. He had a fair trial. He doesn’t deserve to just walk free. But, he doesn’t deserve to have his whole life taken either. He got the sentence he deserved. And I realize that people are comparing this to Zimmerman and Rittenhouse. They deserved the same thing. And I’m having a hard time understanding why people are using that as a “gotcha”. We all believe those 2 monsters to be guilty of those crimes. So that doesn’t exempt karmelo either

Like Texas only gives the death penalty for Capital murder. He shouldn’t have even been charged with regular murder. What he did is considered manslaughter or even self defense. The way they sentenced him doesn’t line up with our laws and some ppl(Yt) should be afraid of what kind of precedent this sets. Bc if we can’t defend ourselves in a state like Texas eventually they won’t be able to either

35 years for killing someone unlawfully is not a harsh sentence at all I’d argue if anything it’s very light… If you kill someone unlawfully you should never be freed from prison ever
