@organized_adventurer: 🦧This is THE place to go if you ever want to see orangutans in the wild! 📍Welcome to Bukit Lawang, in Northern Sumatra, Indonesia. I spent 2 days hiking in Gunung Leuser National Park and got to see 6 orangutans (3 moms and 3 babies, one as young as 4 months!). The heat, humidity, and yes, leeches, all got to me at different points of the adventure, but the suffering was well worth it. Everyone who visits Gunung Leuser National Park must be accompanied by a guide. Mine was mailguide and he was great, even helping me with my backpack when I started to get sick from the heat.
