thats why I only do 4 shifts a week coz that 5th shift is just tax so I end up with what I would get paid either way

It depends who you're working for and how many hours of overtime you're doing. Me working for London Underground for example, doing overtime observing my hours are in range to get as much income out of it helps my pocket alot.

actually if you worked 20 extra hours, you'd get 15 hours after tax. more importantly, if anyone choses to work extra, that's on them to earn more. shush

Never understand people who say overtime is taxed more. The only time it will be taxed more is if you’re doing it at the end of the year and you go into the higher tax bracket

One job that had overtime on Saturdays, stopped anyone trying to do 6hrs work to get home a little earlier that the normal day but also we worked it out, the extra 2hrs on top wasn’t worth the money due to the tax lol. & another job, few of us totally dropped Saturdays because we wasn’t allowed to go to a local cafe for a breakfast run the atmosphere ended up terrible! The company ended up changing our contract, stating we are required to do overtime when asked! & your definitely right about the side hustle 😏 😁. Just don’t tell a sole like I did. Was grassed up 😁
