Mine was howl’s moving castle, the cooking scenes were as good as ponyo (prolly because they had the same studio) and i like the idea of like a medieval, prolly 80’s, steampunk vibe, and the moving castle looked sick, a giant monster made of wood and chimneys walking anywhere and if you feed calcifer (the fire demon moving the castle) he gets more stronger

My Neighbor Totoro is probably my favorite for similar reasons. I recently saw Kiki's Delivery Service and immediately loved it. Lol.

the cat returns will forever and always be my favorite for it was the first ghibli movie i saw and i saw it on my brothers laptop as we were driving him to college and i will never forget sitting in the back of a dark car next to him watching the movie with headphones on

my neighbor totoro was my first and alsways will be my favorite. but kiki, chihiro, porco rosso, howls moving castle and prinzess mononoke are direct behind. i also love up on poppy hill, whisper of the heart and only yesterday. but in the end, all are great and i love all. only film i find mediocre is ocean waves. and grave of the fireflies isn't a movie to cheer you up too 😁
