And also when she was talking about her girl student to the student’s and mom about how the student sacrificed everything, not both of them, because she had been through a similar situation with her mother and she was standing up for the student 💔 and the glass thing she wanted to save her from a similar fate as her, but then people interpret it as she was jealous of her because Klemmer payed more attention.

yes omg I recently watched the piano teacher and gosh it was so heavy and NOT freaky at all. i had watched an analysis about this movie and that letter erika wrote and her fantasies gets so misinterpreted, she doesn’t actually wish for those desires she can’t even comprehend them. also the letterboxd reviews make me cringe so bad

Nothing about The Piano Teacher feels erotic. It’s a movie about a deeply troubled person who is sexually repressed and lonely due to his upbringing and abuse, it really shouldn’t be interpreted as “freaky”.
