They’re talking about drug addicts, for some reason they never group in alcoholics and pretend all other addictions don’t exist in favor of putting down drug addicts, a gambling addict could do the same damage if not more to their loved ones and they wouldn’t blame them for it, but if it was drugs? Oh suddenly you’re evil and it’s all your fault. I’ve never understood their thought process.

That’s what I’ve tried to explain to so many people… I haven’t harmed myself in the way I used to in about 6 years. I still think about it all the time. I still sometimes have to get out of the house and call someone, to keep myself from doing it. Because I know if I give in just once, it’s gonna be such a long road to quit again. Addictions aren’t just drugs and alcohol

being an addict doesn't make someone a bad person like you said its a disease its ok to cut contact if their addiction starts to have too much consequences on your whole life but an addict is still a victim no matter the addiction (im personnaly addicted to video games bc that's the only thing im not terrible at si its not as important as some other addictions but everybody is addicted to something)

if someone is an addict to drugs and/or alcohol I automatically distrust them, I got raped by my father, 3 friends of him were there, all of them intoxicated, none of them remembered. I'm not putting myself in that situation again specially because THEY DON'T REMEMBER AFTER
