Hilton Southampton – Honest Review Booked this hotel because it clearly lists a spa in the amenities. Checked in, went to the front desk, and was told: “That’s an additional cost, sir – no way around it.” Didn’t like the attitude, so I asked for the manager. Front of house manager comes over… somehow even worse.  Smug and pompous: “I can only reiterate what my colleague said.” My issue is simple if the spa is listed as an amenity, it should be clear if there’s an extra charge. The same way parking is clearly explained. Not hidden all the way at the bottom under “spa policies.” Surely I’m not the only one that’s been blindsided by this? I even said I’m willing to pay — that’s literally why I booked the hotel, to use the spa with my wife. Manager response: “Not sure about availability, maybe we can do a deal… can’t promise anything.” I didn’t ask for promises. Went directly to Eforea Spa instead completely different experience. Professional, understanding, and they even said this happens all the time. Guests assume the spa is included. They’ve raised it with Hilton before… nothing changed.  The Stay Itself: 	•	Spa facilities: actually very good 	•	Bed: big and comfy 	•	Breakfast: amazing, loads of variety 	•	Late checkout (12pm): helpful But… 	•	Shower floor had a massive crack covered with grey duct tape 	•	No fridge in the room 	•	Overall felt a bit basic for a Hilton Despite everything, I still had a good stay. But front of house? Needs serious work. I wish I got that lady’s name she should be training the team on manners and customer service.  #hilton #hiltone#hotelreview#hiltonlton
