Something I didn’t realize until my 30s and it was like a brick wall hitting me at 100 mph. I was the peacekeeper, the fixer, the therapist, the parentified eldest daughter. And i took those roles into adulthood - it took a long time to finally realize I am not responsible for other people’s emotions or relationships.

My dad died when I was 8 and ever since I’ve been the middle man between my mum and older brother. My friend and ex sister in law got roped in when she met my brother almost 30 years ago. She’s divorced from my brother but her and I are still trying to withdraw from the relay. They’re in the Nordics while I’m in Australia which makes it extra interesting. I’m in Australia for a reason.
