It is the most unnatural thing but a few weeks in and he is double texting, texting first, doing all the initiating. I’m busy all the time now with friends and family. For once my attention isn’t guaranteed. But it wasn’t easy because I didn’t know if I pulled back if he’d step up. But eventually I was so tired that either was better than chasing. Having my self-respect back is the first major win that feels good.
