the worst part is that Genshin fans dont get Genshin is a immersive story.The fatui arent caricature villains they are people too."But they clearly have been rewritten" and you talk about characters that barely existed before 6.x and we knew little to nothing about. "Scara said Columbina was evil" he never said that.He found her aloof and up in the clouds personality eerie cause he didnt knew her much not to mention that Columbina is a eerie character,we had whole sections in the aq where people perceived her as such because of her weird behavior or straight up her being scary."Well Arlecchino said she didnt cared about Sandrone" she said she didnt cared about the Marionette.There is a difference between someone's job title and personal life.Not to mention that Arlecchino has mentioned that she will lie if she can to people.And she has lied.We are not the exception.She was lying to us too. In general the fatui is a terrifying organization.Just because we have become acquainted with some of the Harbingers doesnt mean that they have stopped being terrifying or evil for the rest of the world they just have stopped being terrifying to us. Like I am sorry but one more thing.Genshin players should learn what a rewritte actually is in games.Rewrittes cant happen in stuff that havent even released officially.Columbina and Sandrone as such are not rewritten,the only time you saw them was in the lazzo trailer for barely 30 seconds each and none of those actions in the trailer are out of character for them.By those peoples logic genshin as a whole has been rewritten from the start since its different from the CBT version.🤦♀️

the harbingers use commedia dell’arte names bc those are literally the theatrical personas they show to the world. And *fatui* itself has layers. fatuus can connect to fatum = fate, so “the fated ones” is already ironic bc they oppose celestia/fate itself. But fatuus also means foolish/mocking, which fits too. they’re people playing roles while doing what they think has to be done. they are the fools who are defying fate.

"why is Sandrone upset about signora death" they say but winter night lazzo arle was so upset Sandrone called everyone fighting over this time of respect “absurd” and other meaning foolish which is why she said utterly risible ( the fans think she is mocking signora 💀). the female harbingers cared more about signora death as shown meanwhile Columbina through all that chose to sing too signora on her death bed when they could've brought the opera girl it shows they care.

they're kind of a morally gray organization too.. the tsaritsa's plan is to overthrow the heavenly principles government aka "set the old world on fire and create a new one" and considering how bad hp is it is a good looking plan, yet their actions are radical. they never meant to be purely villainous organization

people act like we haven't been friends or worked with fatui members since the very beginning 😭 even in early genshin there are a lot of quests where we help the fatui npcs, the fatui is legally located in different nations and even works together with them (Knights and the fatui work together, Zhongli worked together with the fatui, we worked together with the fatui in fountain, in Natlan and in Nord krai). the first ever harbinger we really meet was Childe, who safed us from the government and only wanted to fight with us because of his own foolishness/childness. he's literally a family person... every single harbinger turned out to actually have a sad backstory, thats nothing genshin just "suddenly decided on". the only reason we viewed the Fatui as the dark villain, was because we literally knew nothing about them which made them more mysterious. but as the story continues, obvsly we gonna find out more about them and how they truly are. and i already know all these non reader genshin players will complain about the Tsarista, because they have an image of her which isn't accurate. she's not going to be a second Raiden, she's the god of love and described by venti as the nicest of them all. she only started to isolate herself out of her depression after loosing her loved one. she won't be a heartless ruler, more a very sad figure.
