27 years or using a komatsu Allen strimmer for 40 hours a year and never topped it up with grease. That's when they were built to last, even some stihl heads now are sealed units with no way to grease them.

Most new Stihls no longer have a grease plug, they claim they last the life of the machine without the need for more grease. The evidence in our workshop says they're wrong, but then the latest Stihl machines are 💩 compared to ten years ago.
