To be honest with you, the whites that i have met in South Africa, have always been the ones that are living an average life, hiding behind closed doors not wanting to come out and say "we are suffering". This is because the stigma that has been given to white kids is that "they must always be of a certain standard". But when life doesn't come out like that, many white South Africans feel the shame and stay in silence as if everything is fine

The rest of the 99% are still in a better position economically than most people of color in South Africa because of the legacy of Apartheid. This is a fact. Spin it any way you want. The fact that there are white struggling financially now too doesn't change that fact either.

But most have never had to study under candle light. One has had aircon in class & home while studying. Some gave never had to learn accounting from online guides/slides. You benefitted & it's okay

in nutshell, it's not just black people who are struggling these days. it's whites too. it's just that the black population has a larger demographic... one word Siyafana!!

The problem is exactly the opportunities you’ve mentioned, leaving the country, working for offshore international corporations. You are able to keep your head afloat because of those opportunities and we don’t have those. Other than that I get your point.

yeah the economy is tough for all of us. I also feel its expensive living in your areas compared to living in Alexander or Soshanguve. We can get away with having R3000 per month to support a family of 4
