@minnisphotography: People often ask me how I find wildlife. The truth is, most of the time I’m not looking for the animal first. I’m looking for the signs. A hole in a bank. A path through long grass. Flattened vegetation. A few hairs caught on a branch. Fresh footprints. A change in behaviour from other animals. The countryside is constantly telling a story. The more time you spend outside, the more you begin to notice it. These foxes didn’t just appear. They left clues, and by slowing down and paying attention to the small details, I was able to piece it all together. Fieldcraft isn’t about luck. It’s about observation. Sometimes the photographs you’re looking for are already there. You just have to learn how to read the signs.
