What people who say Kim is “irrelevant” need to understand is she went through a lot when she first came out as an artist. From politicians to talk shows, she was dogged for being “too sexy and un-ladylike” They said she was setting a bad example for young women. A lot of her music wasn’t played until night time because it was too vulgar for normal airtime. And don’t forget social media wasn’t like it is now. Fast forward to today, and everything she was crucified for is the norm. And let’s not even get started on fashion. No matter what anyone wants to say or think, Lil Kim set the trend for a lot of these new artists.
