@wlukfox11: The 92-year-old man sitting on the top bleacher at Fox Cities Stadium Monday was the loudest fan cheering on the Kaukauna High School baseball team in their 4-1 win over River Falls. The last time the Galloping Ghosts took home the state title, Don Frank manned first base. He and Dick Yeager are the only surviving members of that 1953 team. The team was treated like heroes after winning state. After all, it was the first championship victory for any sport in @kaukaunastudentbody history. It's now a different crowd -- at least for everyone but Frank -- but the same support is being shown in 2026. Over 1,000 fans were decked out in orange, packing Fox Cities Stadium for Monday's game. The players fed off that energy and are now just two wins away from Kaukauna's first state title in 73 years. Frank visited the team during their last practice before the game. In the early 1950s, Kaukauna made three state appearances in just four years. Perhaps the Ghosts can replicate the success to create a new golden era of Kaukauna baseball. #fyp #HSGT #wiaawistate #kaukauna #highschoolbaseball
