I think this is sad. He literally was telling us that he had no ownership to his music anymore. That all the money for the music was going to Atlantic Records now and that they were not giving him a fn dime of it. He explained to us how it was a nightmare being signed to them, they stopped supporting his vision when he wouldn’t do what they wanted him to do, they cancelled the release of his finale album, he said they completely lacked a marketing budget for his projects and frequently made "ingestion errors," even forgetting to upload a major Valentine's Day single into the streaming systems, there was artistic control and corporate mismanagement and more. Every time you listen to any of these songs it is making Atlantic records money. While we all love Oliver and will miss him dearly, he warned all of us that none of that money was going to him anymore, and the message he was giving was clear. How much you all want to bet they release his last album now? Just so they can make money off of his death? If you are true fans of Oliver than you would stop listening and supporting a label that did him badly. ✌️

you know what’s wild?? i read book The Secret Side of Our Existence by V. Hale a few weeks ago and ever since then certain little patterns just stand out more than they used to. nothing dramatic. just small moments where you suddenly go wait. have things always worked like this and i just never noticed. you must read this book. it will change your life

Hale and just said “read this.” no explanation or anything. i finished it in a couple days and now i see why he didn’t try to summarize it over text. some things are just easier to understand once you read them yourself you must read this book. it will change your life
