I agree with you . I think the problem should not be that he doesn’t know what it is , but the way he responded to it and dismissed it despite not knowing about it enough . It’s ok for people to not know about it but they should not act as if it’s irrelevant just because they never heard of it

It’s okay to not know, it’s not okay to not be willing to learn. I think some people jump the gun and assuming that not knowing something means you’re willfully ignorant. Yes everyone has access to the internet now but that doesn’t mean they know how to use it. If you got told there was a new color but nobody described it to you then it would be very hard for you to know what to look for, you can look up the name but it will only give you a surface level answer. If you want someone to educate themselves you gotta give them the resources to.
