George Kpakpo Allotey, has ordered the seizure of about 15 stray cattle found grazing at the Dansoman Exhibition Roundabout as part of efforts to clear livestock from major roads and restore public safety. The Assembly has warned livestock owners to keep their animals off the streets, stating that offenders will face fines before reclaiming their cattle. The MCE indicated that the exercise forms part of a broader enforcement strategy to maintain order and protect public infrastructure across the municipality. Authorities are also preparing to intensify operations under a proposed initiative dubbed “Operation Catch the Chiena” to eliminate stray cattle on roads within the area.
