Born Tupac Amaru Shakur on June 16, 1971, Pac stands as Hip-Hop’s most impactful voice, with an everlasting influence that carries on even after his death, 30 years ago. Throughout his career, Pac proved to be multi-facted. He not only made blockbuster hits, he delivered deeply emotional songs that examined the human struggle. He was poetic, at times aggressive, and prolific beyond measure. Since his passing, that impact has only grown. “Dear Mama” entered the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry, ‘All Eyez on Me’ entered the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, and Pac became the first solo Hip-Hop artist inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
