@v.tpk: We've spoken about the big, macro industries that survive economic downturn, but what about the every day companies that regular people are familiar with? Let's talk about trading down during recessions. #creatorsearchinsights #stockstowatch #stockstobuy #economiccrisis #investingforbeginners

I've been meaning to look into how the cannabis industry has been doing. there's definetly a change in what "treats" people are getting themselves for their treat yourself moments.

im pretty sure that HRblock & other tax prep services will continue to fo well since this administration has eliminated direct file so our only options are paper versions or using a prep service company 😖

I wonder if things like monster energy will still do well, in a similar vein as alcohol and tobacco

One of the reasons I opt to hold SCHD in my Roth IRA is because I figure that a lot of what SCHD holds would fare alright during a recession. I think there is a lot of overlap between what you talked about in this video and what SCHD holds.

alcohol and tobacco are not safe investments. Because weed is legal there has been a sharp decrease in alcohol and tobacco sales. Why buy a six pack for $16 where you can buy a five pack of weed Gummies for three

They used to sign that RV sales were the signal that the economy was strong. I forget the ticker but along the lines of Camping World or something.

The younger generations vape. I think cigarette companies will be ok if they’ve diversified in owning vapes and selling. Theres also nicotine pouches now too

Do this if you’re 21 On the trading down thing if you wanna make your own alcohol, get yeast( bread yeast works) distilled drinking water any type of sugar my preferred method is honey and fruit. Mix it all together. Let it sit three weeks checking on it periodically for your water lock level. Then give it a smell. Does it smell like strong alcohol or vinegar? You can still use it if it’s vinegar; cleaning. You might need to sweeten up afterwards because that’s what the yeast eat and they do make yeast inoculator‘s.

Vape and THC maybe? even older generations are getting into those. Maybe still considered "tabacco"

There will still be somewhat of a need I believe in regards to taxes, because while yes, many of us do have the ability to file our own taxes. I believe that they’re still a demographic who doesn’t quite feel as comfortable or maybe he doesn’t have the comprehension to be able to do that. Now in regards to tobacco as a former smoker, a pack of Siggy’s would cost me like 44 dollars back in the early 2000s recently and when I mean recent, I think in the last year I had recently purchased a pack and I don’t really smoke anymore. It’s only when I’m very stressed out was closer to $12. So there is a high probability that tobacco may slowly be eliminated But then again you know each person has their advice. Now from what I’ve been seeing prior to all of these economic downturns alcohol has been taking a huge hit. I remember reading an economic report where there were certain distilleries that were going to start letting people go and others that already have because the lack of consumption. Now I’ve also read mixed reviews about wine Some stating that there isn’t enough wine to supply the United States and then at the same time that there aren’t enough drinkers, so I’m not quite sure about that. But as you stated, the younger generations are not interested in alcohol or tobacco they may be more interested in babes and possibly smoking the green but other than that, I don’t know. I think it’s a little early to tell, but they’re definitely will be downturns in each sector.
