I wouldn't have thought to look for sleeping in unusual places! I have an orange male who has always been vocal about his litter box usage. He's been checked out. He's just weird 😭 Makes me paranoid every time.

#3 just cost me almost 8k, 5 days in the emergency vet, and almost losing my boy. Came home from work, he immediately cried at me while showing me he was straining to pee outside the litter box and we went straight to the ER. Thankfully his kidneys were unaffected but he almost had to have a PU bc he kept reblocking. Y’all never EVER ignore straining, especially in male cats.

My Bombay was diagnosed with FIC last August. He hasn’t been blocked since but I will be moving next week and I’ve noticed his behavior changing. I don’t know if he senses my stress or seeing boxes, etc. I bought a calming collar and hoping that will work on top of everything else

my cat is excessively drooling and he won’t lay down where he always does but he’s never drooled before it’s now 3:30 am and i haven’t been to sleep yet im too scared to go to sleep bc im scared something is gonna happen to him 8am i will be at the vet! i’m so glad this popped up on my fyp!

Yep. A few weeks ago my cat stopped eating the few days before that she slept directly under me under the bed and my other cat laid with her. They Don’t hate each other but they don’t normally sleep next to each other.

my clinic did an emergency pyo surgery today. owner brought her in for inappetence, stress, and extra clinginess. they had just moved so she thought it was gonna be a quick visit w an appetite stimulant and some trazadone. turned out it was pyometra. don’t ignore your kitty’s symptoms, even if they’re subtle!

My older girl cat was overgrooming her belly for a bit but now it’s coming back. Our 12 year old tomcat passed last month and now it’s growing back. I think she was stressing out about him.
