@saramics.pottery: Personally my foot has changed a lot over the years and changes depending on what I’m making. But you can usually tell it’s mine by the crispy lines and beveling. #fyp #pottery #art
This is my work. I hope the teacher can give me some advice.

I'm a big fan of leaving a circle in the middle of my foot and then putting my signature on it

The idea with the hole in the foot to avoid puddles? May both sides of your pillow always be cold 🫶

it’s so fascinating the little details that are obvious to those who do the craft but invisible to others! i work on a team of sign artists and people often comment on how similar our work is, even assuming we were trained to do a specific style. not only is that not true, but to me the differences between our styles are obvious! just like your teacher, i can always tell the difference between different artist based on the little choices

Oh they definitely could, it drove my teacher nuts.. I hate foots on my work, love them on others, but I like a smooth piece that tapers at the bottom.

I’m sooo bad at trimming feet. I understand how to do it but I always just feel like I don’t know what to do.

I can always tell a video is yours even without hearing the audio because of the way you always strongly define your foot

I like to add a ring around my foot so I can grip the bowl better. I'm still learning, but no matter how the foot looks, the bowl will have a ring

Are you doing Terra sig? Looks like you added slip to the walls at the end, curious about the purpose of that!

I appreciate you making this video... I've been playing around with different types of feet on my pots and I think I'm going to go back to one of my originals. I'll try to remember to post it to these comments when I do it again.

wow, that's so real because every time I see a potter trim the foot I'm just thinking about how I would do it differently (I didn't touch a single piece of clay in my life)

I loooove listening to you talk about pottery and your life/life lessons! But could we also have some of your old ASMR style from time to time as well, even with the same clips you speak over? It’s so soothing to watch 😊
