My boy use to go with me until he was about 9 then he started going to the boys room but if no one is in the restroom and I need to help him with something like an accident or whatever he goes with me still and I just peek in to make sure no girls are in there at the moment and when the door opens I yell out my 11 year old son is in here. They never say anything so I’m glad!

I remember being a little girl having to go to the bathroom with my dad and it was always a stressful situation. Lots of “keep your eyes closed and don’t open until I tell you” or asking another mother to walk me into the woman’s restroom or a random ladies voice saying my name and saying “your dad wanted to make sure you’re ok”. You’re doing your best and that’s all anyone can ask. you put those girls first and that’s is never the wrong answer
