I think liberalism is often painted by a vocal minority which fit this description. Don't get me wrong, I will call out racism and misogyny for what it is, but I view that as honesty. I have no interest in cancelling someone over it. I'm happy to converse with them. I'm not a very offendable person. I might call something out as offensive, but again, that's honesty, not a retreat from the conversation.
