Because of a lot of warm lighting back then, I wonder if that shade of lipstick looked more like a true red under the warm lighting 🤔 under modern lighting I can see the pink in the red 🤷♂️

Revlon’s Bachelors Carnation, looks pretty close to the current formula for Cherries in the Snow. The 50’s version was more red, but today it leans more magenta.

The original lipstick looks identical to Revlon’s “Cherries in the Snow” lipstick. Charlotte Tilbury’s “The Queen” is another contender

I used to have a dollar store "red" lipstick that was that same pinky red out of the tube. this was 90s cheap makeup, so it could have been from Woolworth

I have a Mac lipstick from years ago which was from the cherry blossom collection and the lipstick is such a similar colour to the one Marilyn wore!!!

Actually Revlon made a color called “cherries in the snow” for Marilyn and they still carry it. It’s a fuchsia red and I’ve been wearing it for years and get so many compliments on it. Try it!
