you can always sell, donate, donate to friends and family, & even play with your makeup with looks you wouldn’t normally wear outside. my biggest thing is, you can always just toss it if it overwhelms you that bad! project pan shouldn’t feel like a chore ✨

When the flip finally switched for me I immediately decluttered my collection and donated/gifted to family and friends, I even posted on IG stories and asked who wanted what and delivered to their homes lol after giving a bunch away. I depotted like crazy and only kept limited edition items in their original packaging. I bought 4 page magnetic palettes online and made two books a face book (face powders, blushes, bronzers, and highlighters and an eye book all eye shadows sorted by color! any eye palette that had hard plastic packaging became a magnetic palette and I made a full face palette with a neutral eye shadows, contour, bronzer, blush and face powder. Anytime I empty a pan in my everyday face palette I switch it for something from those two books. The process is still slow (I wfh and don't do my makeup everyday). But I've worked through a fair amount of my collection from the OG beauty YouTuber era, only a handful of liquid lipsticks left (which should probably be tossed) maybe 2 dozen lippies, a half dozen lip liners, 2 liquid foundations, and like 3 cream palettes and a couple cream contour sticks. Mascara and eyeliner are the only things I buy now and it's maybe once a year and I usually get a back up ahead of time. I'm down to 2 drawers in my Aleks drawers from 6.
