Zermatt is expensive but also quite a few times you went for the more expensive options when surely there would have been cheaper. The green on some of the products (like the mayo) means they're bio (organic), so they're more expensive. Optigal brand chicken is also quite a bit more expensive than just the one sold under migros brand.

Tip: The own brands (aka cheapest ones) are usually on the lowest shelf migros has m-budget or just migros brand for most things that are less expensive

As a swiss who travelled a lot of countries, croceries in switzerland is not as expensive as people think or portray it to be. Especially if you know that the salary is not as high in other countries… Of course if you are in a touristic place like Zermatt than yes the prices will be higher. But you can find in Switzerland a lot of cheap products in every store. My opinion and experience 😁

You've only looked at pre-baked bread with lots of preservatives. Try fresh bread. We Swiss don't buy pre-packaged bread unless it can be baked in the oven.
