@lvsings: 🏜️ We took the helicopter out of Supai! Here's what you need to know! 👇🏽 -There are no reservations you simply need to get there early and line up. - You need to head out from camp around 3-4 am to hike back into the village and line up in front of the helipad. There's benches there and hooks for your bags. -First flight out is at 9 am and someone will show up to the podium around 8 for you to add your name to the list. Be aware people are ready to cut lol we had to get a little feisty with some. Once your name is on the list you can go get a hot meal and cold drink at the cafe which opens basically whenever they feel like it lol but supposed to be 8 am. - Natives get priority and will go out before tourists. There's really no way of telling when you will get our so jump on WiFi- and get comfy. Heli stops at 4 pm. We got out at 1 pm and we were second group in line. Do not mess around. Get there early or you will have to spend the night or hike out. -We waited 9 hours before getting out. The plane will fit 5 people and you can bring one backpack per person. They charge extra for a second bag. They did not weigh our bags but beware that they could. I believe the limit is 40 lbs. - You will be paired with random people in order to fill the plane. -Helicopter will take breaks as desired. They will also send packages before people. You are at their disposal. So don't go into it thinking that because you paid a lot you get any sort of priority. You will be disappointed. -When it's your turn they will call your name and you can enter the area and wait for the next plane. You get on very quickly and off very quickly.
