@rootedinthegame: After the World Cup match between Germany and Curaçao, a special moment took place. ✝️ While most people were talking about goals, performances, and the final score, players from both teams came together to pray. German goalscorer Felix Nmecha explained after the match: “During the game we’re opponents, but after the game we’re all Christians and we’re brothers. So we came together and had a little prayer.” He later added: “We all believe that Jesus is glorified through the game. That’s why we came together and prayed.” What a powerful reminder that there is something greater than results, trophies, and national teams. For 90 minutes they competed against each other. After the final whistle, they stood together united by their faith in Jesus Christ. Beautiful to see that on football’s biggest stage, players are not only representing their countries but also boldly pointing to the One who brings people together beyond every border, language, and jersey.
