I love a good animated movie just as much as the next guy, but you have to remember, these movies are made for kids. A 10 yr old today will think this is peak cinema vs what we’ve seen.

I’m calling it, it’s gonna basically have the same storyline as turning red. Girl feels out of place, girl gets powers, mom is shocked that she unlocked her powers early or at all and tells her that she should be careful and it’s a curse, she doesn’t listen and gets frustrated at her, girl begins using powers for fun and starts to master them, girl attracts attention when using her powers, mum tells her to stop but she doesn’t listen saying she doesn’t understand, mum end up teaming up with her to defeat the villain and they reconcile by talking it out

hexed, in its original form was actually based on filo mystic culture BUT Disney doesn’t like taking risk and especially raya flopped. Disney even demoted the original filo director to an assistant/co-director lol. my money’s on forgotten island

I'm genuinely so tired of quirky outcast characters. I watched the og toy story a few days ago and it made me miss main characters that were varied in personality and flaws. It seems like every protagonist now is just the same teen angst character that doesn't fit in. It's so boring
