@ravenbudgets: It’s impossible to make a full spaghetti meal for under $10. Lets test that out at Walmart today ❤️ #momtok #groceryshopping #DinnerIdeas #budgetmeals #walmart
Italian sausage is an affordable swap for ground beef too for those who aren’t big on turkey

For everyone complaining about its turkey. At least in my state right now ground beef is $7 a lb! You’re not going to be able to make “classic” spaghetti for $10. Ive substituted beef for the same brand of turkey in many dishes. You hardly notice the difference most of the time. You’ve never struggled if you’re upset about ground turkey being in spaghetti

Is it possible to make “cheap” spaghetti, of course. But that wasn’t the point. The point is, classic spaghetti is not as affordable as it once was. Not everyone likes ground turkey.

The post I saw was a woman saying you couldn't make spaghetti for under one hour of the federal minimum wage... but based on your receipt here you could get the spaghetti, sauce, and ground turkey for under the federal minimum wage and still serve spaghetti so I feel like this proves that lady wrong too. Good job!

I just made a spaghetti dinner last night with NON store brands, using 93/7 grass fed beef for about $12. Plus leftovers. You can easily make spaghetti for under $10 if you use all store brands and get cheaper versions lol. And I’m in AZ too which is one of the more pricey states right now.

Oh my gosh! Why do people get so angry?! If you don’t like her version don’t eat it! She was giving a great option for under $10. Make it or don’t. Just scroll.

One helpful tip: when making ground beef, save off the grease. Put it in a small container once it’s strained and cooled and freeze. Anytime you make ground turkey, put it on the turkey while cooking it. It adds fat and flavor and is free. The frozen grease is also great in beans and rice.

So the longer you simmer your cheap store brand sauce actually makes it taste better and if you have spices, add them add oregano, basil, Italian seasoning, a little garlic most people have some spice

Not totally sure on the pricing, but those seasoning packets for spaghetti sauce that you mix with water and tomato paste are usually pretty cheap and tasty! It’d probably be more expensive than just buying a jarred sauce, but it’s a nice little oomph if you’ve got the budget

you could also use 1/2 ground beef and buy the meat sauce to supplement . I personally don't like meat in mine so even cheaper
