Toy Story 5 was perfect. I had a lump in my throat holding back tears almost the whole movie. So many callbacks, nostalgia, and nods to the other Toy Story movies. The Bambi scene was perfection! 10/10

I cried so much because my 5 year old son is just like Bonnie and I see how he loves to play with toys and has such a vivid imagination. But he struggles to make friends and feels left out because he just wants to play. All he does with his tablet is play movies while he plays or music 😩 he kept saying mommy that’s how I feel.

Did we need this movie? No. But with the shift from physical play to online play, Pixar needed to use a household name IP to call out iPad Parents and give them the rudest wakeup call of their lives. There are other kids movies that also expose the dangers of tech dependence, but they didn’t exactly hit right and Disney and Pixar knew a household name would be the most effective. I can’t wait to see this soon!

I liked Jessie as the focus but I don’t like how in this one and 4, they just pushed out the supporting toys like Hamm, Slinky, Rex, potato heads who are all great and had bigger roles in 1-3. Also Bonnie’s original toys too. In this and last one they were all pushed to the side

I just got back from seeing Toy Story 5 and it honestly surprised me, I was not expecting to really like Toy Story 5 like there’s a lot I like about it such as The whole Toys vs Technology theme, Jessie being the main lead and I loved how they expanded her backstory with Emily and her abandonment issues. So overall I give it a 8/10 Not as good as The original trilogy but way better than Toy Story 4, Now I’m hoping we don’t get a Toy Story 6 because I think this franchise should really rest now.

I feel like they missed the mark in my opinion. I think that it was about Jessie’s story which is great but rather than having Blaze they should have made it so that when Jessie went back home she went back home to Emily and Emily’s daughter. It would have been cool to see them reconnect and then have Emily’s daughter and Bonnie become best friends so Jessie can stay in Emily’s life still.

Toy Story 2 was my favorite movie. So much so that I had no clue it was a sequel growing up. Jessie has always been my favorite character. I love Joan Cusack so much. I just know this movie is about to make me ugly cry 😭
