I think what hurts the most is that Bungie decided to end such a volatile game, one that hits different genres for an Extraction Shooter. It’s just so niche while D2 is fits in so many categories. D2 has such a broad range, whether it’s raids, story, PVP, PVE, it has something for everyone

Played Marathon on the free weekend and it was okay but not good. It was boring and there are a lot of games out there that do better. If the game was 20 dollars or free then it would be more active but it's nowhere near worth a full price game.

All the marathon fanboys crying in the comments even if marathon is such a good game its numbers would reflect that if the game was so good more people would be playing it. It shouldn’t take hour after hours of playing for the game to start being fun

Sony execs are just gripping on to their egos at this point becuase Pete Parsons sold them on a promise that Marathon was gonna be the next big thing and to trust that “bungie magic.” The gaming market has changed so much since then they need to get a grip and just support Destiny. “But it’s not profitable” yeah I wonder how ANY revenue generator is going to be profitable when it needs to sustain itself and 5 other incubation projects on top of a HQ remodel that no one asked for lmfao. Played marathon 40 hours and I’m good on it. Visually stunning and fun play is fun but at the end of the day it’s just another extraction shooter. Putting in pve is kind of a slap in the face for destiny fans. Had they ended D2 at final shape, released marathon in between a D3 then marathon would’ve done better. Unfortunately it falls victim to corporate greed and bad timing

got nearly 500 hours in destiny, upset they couldn't make marathon good. they should have made it like destiny 3 with coop raid,pve focus and story. they could just have done matchmaking pvp thats balanced and a trials. couldn't stand thr unbalanced pvp

The visuals of Marathon make me want to puke. Like I physically cannot look at the artstyle of that game and enjoy it, or even be neutral about it.
