@buildinghappi: AI can help you build a feature in an hour….then you spend the next week figuring out what should never have been there in the first place 😅
This is exactly what I needed to hear. I do this with my AI agent system I call it 'building in public' but really I've just been adding agents and ignoring the mess underneath. You just gave me my weekend project.

It’s crazy how long some teams go without checking their ego and realizing they too are creating tech debt lol. The two most impactful prompts in my org have without a doubt been our “dead-code” and “potential-refactor” skills. We have a third skill that goes through items we generate on lists like those, and ranks them - that’s a close third since it makes sure we always know which task to pick up if we want a good impact/effort ratio

You should check out Ponytail. It is designed to never write the unnecessary code in the first place https://github.com/DietrichGebert/ponytail

hi! genuine question: why do you use AI to code for your own projects vs code them yourself? also do you use AI in your work as a sr software eng? I work in AI so other engineers and developers workflows are fascinating to me. thank you in advance!

Hello, I am a junior Software engineer looking to improve and learn alongside the AI boom, what are some recommendations, resources or practices that you think could make me a better engineer and not hold Claude like a crutch? I feel the constant pressure of outputting new features in shorter timespans to be very detrimental. Any advice would be appreciated!

Yea. I track tech debt and make sure we have a review sprint and cleanup run at regular intervals. Love this.

So basically you make Claude to be Knip in steroids🔥 sounds fun... My plan to use Fable was to do what you said and find and remove security vulnerabilities

I too try to optimize my code. By I also have Claude add lots of Comments. Explaining purpose and reasoning for each section. Lots of green 💚
