@twoparentsandapod: Toddlers are SCIENTISTS 🧪 they HAVE to make mistakes (aka experiment) without fear of getting in trouble for things to actually click 🧠 Didn't know we were doing this in the moment but glad someone put it into words 🫶 Parents of toddlers - what is your kid’s best experiment to date?! #twoparentsandapod #toddlerlife #toddlermom #parentingtips #toddlerdevelopment
She also learned that a napkin does not hold as much as a cup. She poured it on a napkin which one uses to clean up a mess. Makes sense 🤷♀️

It’s her first time being on earth. How would she know what would happen? She’s just a baby. She’s learning. Learning through play and hands on activities - such as pouring, is a great way to learn. Nothing is ever so serious that a toddler needs to be punished for making a mess.

I don’t always agree with you two on things, but goodness if all parents parented with the love and intention you do, this world would be a better place. So much thoughtfulness!

Redirection is key. I always communicated with my kids when they did something wrong instead of yelling. Teaching them what is right and wrong.

Never wanting to get mad is a wild take. You are letting her call the shots. Walking on the dinner table isn’t the time for expression. Social norms and sanitary st that should be used as a guide…a toddler can’t comprehend why they can dance on tables at home in their safe space bht not public outings

It’s called mistaken behavior, she’s gonna try things out and experiment with their environment and tangibles. She’s doing exactly what she needs to do!

Everytime I see a new video I’m reminded how much I want to try and be like you two as parents, you both are always so calm and teaching Tate. You are new at it but you are learning from others and taking what is learned and making it your own. Them kiddos are so lucky to have you both! ♥️

We agreed that there was only one loud word for our kids- Stop, and only used when they could injure themselves or others. Such as walking in from if a car. My kids then knew it was serious. I think I only used it 5 times and they are teenagers now.
