I think the important thing is recognizing that you have privilege and just being sure to not pull the ladder up behind you as you yourself climb it in life. And also- recognize the role that privilege plays in educational and financial outcomes. Two things can be true at the same time.. that you are a hard worker and that someone else has had to work even harder to reach the same level.

You have an opportunity. It doesn’t matter how you got it. The point is you got it. If your father helped, that’s your advantage. People that don’t like that are just jealous. Just do your best. You may have gotten your job because of your father but make sure the reason you keep it is because of you.
