I have met quite a few SBS, SAS, and Royal Marine Commandos I served with the RFA and we did exercises in various parts of the world from the UK to the Middle East . Extremely professional and of course very secretive . We were told not to take photos of them , we could chat with them and would of course be respectful . I remember asking one chap what he thought of the PM at the time ( Cameron 2016 ) and going to war for him. First thing he said was I hate politicians they send people to fight in wars but would never go themselves. That said they give the orders we carry them out 100% . So I remember we were alongside in Portsmouth and Cameron came for a visit . The Commandos, Some of our officers were stood to attention on the quayside when he arrived , he then came on board all crew not on duty were told to stay below decks so thank God I didn't have to meet him.
