Do I reread it, the first time I read it I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT although I do relate to Holden. Idk I just found it insufferable and annoying. I hated how he kept saying the same things over and over again “and that killed me!” OMG SHUT UPP 😭

Same!!! This and The Goldfinch are the books that I feel most emotionally connected to. And I’m almost 21! I read TG when I was 13 and TCITR when I was 16.
