M.a.s.k. is the one that I'm surprised to see. I never expected to see a remake in 2026 as not many people remember the Toys>Cartoon>Comics from the 80s. M.A.S.K originated as a toy to compete with Transformers and with the toys came mini comics. The cartoons came shortly after and then stand alone comics a year or two after that. This was one of several toys (Like He-Man) that ran a mini comic series with the purchase of their action figures and toy vehicles. Definitely surprised to see a reboot, however it looks like there is a group of comic illustrators/writers/scripters that are bringing some of the coolest concepts from the 80s back into focus. I think hasbro also bought out Kenner in the 2000s and now own the rights to M.a.s.k. . full circle, as I mentioned previously Kenner originally created MASK to compete with Habros Transformers. Still love The Punisher and Daredevil, but to me they aren't a surprise to see.
