Oh my gosh, I’m so glad they have rangers checking permits at scouts! 🎉 They didn’t when we won the lottery and the amount of congestion on angels landing worried me

i can’t believe i just nonchalantly did this in 2016 knowing nothing about it until the day before and having minimal hiking experience. i loved it though!! (minus the switchbacks)

Back in 2021 you didn’t need a permit- I’m sad because I couldn’t finish the end because it was too windy!! This was the craziest hike though

For anyone trying to win the lottery and they DONT. A few stores and outfitter stores you can rent waders from has tickets you can purchase. They get a certain amount per day. Check that out if you don’t win!

One of the craziest hikes I’ve done. And I’ve done Half Dome and Whitney. It is crazy you now need a permit. When I did it 2015, you didn’t need one.
