@fidjerik: Oliver Tree died on June 14, 2026, in a helicopter crash in Brazil during his world tour in support of the album Love You Madly, Hate You Badly. The tragedy occurred when two helicopters collided in mid‑air over the Recreio dos Bandeirantes area, southwest of Rio de Janeiro. One of the aircraft crashed into a car dealership parking lot and caught fire, engulfing around 20 vehicles. All six people on board were killed: five passengers were in one helicopter, and the second carried only the pilot. Among those who died alongside Oliver Tree were Argentine YouTube blogger Gaspar Prim (known online as Gaspi, with around 7.5 million subscribers), independent filmmaker Lucas Vignale, and Brazilian music producer Lucas Brito Chaves. At the time of his death, the musician was 32 years old — he was born on June 29, 1993, in Santa Cruz, California. A few days before the crash, on June 6, he performed in São Paulo. On June 13, just a day before the accident, Oliver Tree shared social media updates: he posted stories from a studio with other musicians and a video of himself playing football in a neighbourhood in Brazil.
